Hailing from Houston, Tx Laurel is an alumna of West Texas A&M University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance Performance with honors.

A member of the Actor's Equity Association, Laurel has spent the last several years as a singer and actress at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando, Gaylord Palms & Gaylord Texan, and the Department of Wonder.
​
She spent time as a private acting and vocal coach in Houston, TX. with a studio full of talented students aged 12 to 23 before stepping away from teaching to return to the stage.
​
She is the recipient of the 2017 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Musical Nationwide.
​
Laurel is always eager to create theatrical magic and couldn't see herself doing anything else. She would love nothing more than to inspire others in the theatre as she herself has been so inspired..
